I remember a time when turning 30 was over the hill, and becoming a "Senior" meant you were old. At 73 I have changed my way of thinking. The back may be a little stiffer, the knees may not bend as easily as they used to and I may tire a little more quickly, but I'm still young at heart. Even with all the little aches and pains, I still love to get out there and paddle (sometimes I even fish) - I just do it a little slower these days.
There are a lot of others just like me, which is why we have designed a kayak that is perfect for those of us in the 50 plus age bracket. One thing we developed is the elevated seat which gives you the ability to sit in a more comfortable position - not the "L" position you are forced to sit in when sitting in most other kayaks. For those of you not quite familiar with the, "L" Position, it is sitting with your legs stretched straight out in front of you. Ever spend a day in the "L" position? If you answered "yes" then you know exactly what I am talking about. If you answered "no", try it, you won't like it. We also added stabilizers which makes capsizing this kayak the next thing to impossible. We added a steadying rail which makes it real easy to get in and out of this kayak, not to mention it gives you something to hold onto should you decide to stand up. The nice thing about all these extras, is that they can be attached and removed easily (WITH NO TOOLS), which makes it easy to load on your vehicle or on a trailer or onto a larger boat. Take everything off and all you have is the 45 pound kayak - nothing else. 5 Minutes is all it takes to attach or remove them all on.
Can't paddle as far as you would like? Get tired paddling against the wind or current? No Problem! We have trolling motors available to give you power assistance just for that reason.
Check out some of our active seniors in the photos below, but keep one thing in mind - You don't have to be a senior to take advantage of all these extras.
