We went to Emma Long Metropolitan Park during the summer for our
maiden voyage.  The ski boats took over the lake and would not give us
the right of way.  In fact, 2 ski boats tried to get us and some other
kayakers to flip over.  Our Slo-Mo was so stable, the wake from both ski
boats coming at us at the same time (and only 25 feet away), the Slo-Mo
was able to keep us not only upright, but also DRY!!!  If I had the money,
I'd buy another one so I wouldn't have to share with my husband.

I have been wade fishing and poling a standard boat for over fifty years.  I
started looking for a better & more comfortable way to fish the flats for
redfish.  I have tried the conventional form of kayak and found that my back
was hurting after hours of having my legs straight out in front of me.  Also,
it was difficult to stand up in the kayak when fish were sighted.  A Slo-Mo
Kayak allows you to sit up when paddling with your knees bent.  The
stabilizer allows you to stand up on the casting platform and sight cast for
fish.  It is the most stable and user friendly kayak that I have ever seen made!

I've been kayak and canoe fishing for 10+ years.  Started outwith a sit in
kayak and then moved to a canoe for room.  I decided I wanted a better boat
for fishing, the sit in was too cramped and canoes kill you if there is a little
wind.  After doing some research I decided on the Slomo because it has the
best of both worlds.  I was amazed how well it tracks and how dry it is.  For
fishing this boat is awesome, very quiet.  This is a big plus because I do a lot
of sight fishing in the marsh.  In the marsh, the hull cuts through the spartina
grass and actually parts it.  This means less stuff in or on the boat.

I wanted to get a kayak for fishing, and my brother has a plastic sit on top.
I knew that was
not what I wanted, but I didn't know just what I did want.
Then I saw your ad in Shallow Water Angler.  I knew that was what I was
looking for.  When the boat arrived,  my first thought was that the
packaging was a real work of art.  After my brother and I unwrapped it, we
just sat there in admiring it.  It is the best kayak I could have bought.  I can't
think of anything
I would change about the boat.  It is fast, dry, stable and really quiet  .What
more could anyone want in a fishing kayak?

I am writing you to thank you for the professional job you did on our
boats.  We are completely satisfied with them.  We changed our minds
during the building of the boats, several times, as to what we wanted, and
I must say that you more than fulfilled our requests.  I feel the professional
work you did couldn't be surpassed and we are really happy with them.
I never thought we would be able to fish the shallows.

Thanks again

Dear Linda, I have had the opportunity to use my boat twice, once in a lake
on my property to get acquainted with it, then on a tributary creek running
into the Sabine River here in East Texas.  With the pontoons, the boat is
amazingly stable.  I was somewhat skeptical when I ordered the boat but the
design and appearance of the boat looked feasible, and the stability of the
boat while standing in it and fly casting exceeded my expectations.  While I'm
not anywhere obese, I am of stocky build, and I was also concerned about the
comfort zone of sitting in the boat while paddling, but the boat is amazingly
roomy and it was no problem or discomfort at all.

It is by far the nicest kayak I have ever used.  It is very light, stable, and fast.  I
was able to easily stand and cast and move around the boat.  The compartments
are very well located and well suited for fishing tackle.  You an easily see this
boat was made for fishing - the location of the rod holders, anchor trolley, and
paddle bungees.  When at the ramp, it was admired by several redfish
tournament fishermen in their $80,000 flats boat.  They commented that the
Slo-Mo was made of the same high quality material as their flats boats were.  My
biggest fear was that I was going to scratch it :)

Just wanted to write an email advising how much I love your Kayak. Having
learned to fish in a pirogue this kayak was a natural for me. It is well designed
and handles great on the water. I like the hatches for extra storage. Although I
rarely if ever use them once I am in the boat because the Kayak is really laid out
well for fishing.  Got to say, I catch fish in it!  By the way the day we took those
pictures, I had to chip Ice from the inside of my Kayak it was so cold. About 28
degrees or so.  Glad I stayed dry!
